What is the difference between e-commerce and e-business?



Electronic commerce describes the buying and selling of products, services and information via computer networks including the Internet.

E-business describes the broadest definition of e-commerce. It includes customer service and tasks inside the organisation.

Some other definitions?

Domain name is given to describe a website. All websites are actually accessed by computers via a number system. For example, a computer may actually read www.yourcompany.com as 128.9.205.99. The domain name was invented because people can generally remember a name more easily than a string of numbers.

Intranet is simply a network within a company or organisation on which you can host local information or even sites. You can use this intranet to work online with an internal audience of co-workers, fellow group members or colleagues. It also allows you to post commonly requested information and allows an easy method for distributing information within a company.
